We have a very exciting TT for you beautiful Teslapunks today! Last week, the lovely Ms. Stephanie and I went to the FREE Nikola Tesla Electricity Exhibition at Navy Pier! These exhibits come straight from the Tesla Museum in Belgrade, and ye only have until Sunday to check 'em out, so gogogo!

If you are, tragically, not within the Chicagoland area, then fear not, for I have for your admiration some poorly composed photos of the whole shebang (which, as shebangs go, was actually quite small, but it's hard to complain).

Getting closer...

...ever closer...

IT'S HEEEERE!

Interactive displays!

For all that Edison later behaved like an unrepentant douchecanoe, he was, at one time, Tesla's hero.

Of all the awards and documents that Tesla had in his possession, he prized and protected his certificate of U.S. citizenship the most.

Who's that peeking out from the right-hand side of the door?
(Hint: IT'S TESLA.)

Wireless energy at work! The sunlight makes it hard to see the sparks flying from the converter to the prongs of the fluorescent light bulb, but I assure you that they were. It felt like the electricity was thrumming right through my radius and ulna--strangely, the sensation was not too dissimilar from when I got my inner wrist tattooed. Not hugely unpleasant, but not something I wanted to g'wan forever.

The world's first interactive bladeless fan!

I also grabbed this from the gift/donation table:

It's chock-full of photographs taken throughout Tesla's life: portraits and publicity event shots of both him and his friends, relatives, and associates, and includes the below shot of Meta-Tesla!

The impossible has happened, the wildest dreams have been surpassed and the astounded world is asking: What is coming next?-- Nikola Tesla, "The Wonder World to be Created by Electricity"

Until next time!
Cheers,
