"Death Talks About Life" by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. In which Neil Gaiman's Death and Alan Moore's John Constantine join forces to make a public service announcement re: AIDS awareness and safe sex. No joke, this comic taught me more about condoms than my health ed. class.

Silver anatomical heart locket. $275 is way more than I could ever justify paying for a necklace, but this thing is way mega pretty.

Summer Wars. I'd just read/watched a bunch of somewhat depressing things and turned to this Japanese animated movie for a brain cleanser. Best idea ever. It was sweet, funny, touching, and strangely enough, actually did go a ways toward revitalizing my faith in humanity. A bit melodramatic, I'm sure, but I have to admit that I got a little emotional when summarizing it for a friend. Give it a shot; thank me later.

I'm crap at photographing food in a way that makes it actually look appetizing ._.
Yukhoe (육회), aka "[r]aw beef half frozen and cut into long rectangular strips, marinated with salt, sesame oil, green onions, chili pepper, garlic, and tossed with jullienned asian pears or cucumbers and topped with a raw egg yolk" (source). I know it looks/sounds weird, possibly a little frightening, but I can't get enough of this stuff. It's by far my favorite anju (drinking food) so far. There's a place in Jongno that I go to sometimes with my taekkyeon brothers, and they serve this up with a phenomenal dipping sauce made of three components that you mix together yourself.

"La Fille Damnée" by Cécile Corbel. Sorry if you're sick of me posting this all over the place, but I can't get over how eerily beautiful this music video is. It's odd because the video (what looks like a battle waged between two witches? faeries?) doesn't really match the lyrics (a man goes into town to get his horse shod, and hears his dead daughter singing through the horse about how she met a strange man while she was alive, and that he'd damned her, and how her father could release her soul). Kind of sad, really, but in a good way.

Happy Thursday, everyone!
